Gilmore Electric Company was founded in 1945 by Cecil Gilmore. One of the first electrical companies in Bryan/College Station, Cecil and his son Jack worked to build a business based on trust and quality workmanship.
Jack Gilmore took over for his father as second-generation owner in the mid-1960s. A
servant leader and well respected business owner in the community, Gilmore Electric became a family affair with sons Paul and Phillip joining the business. Before his passing in 1998, Jack worked with both sons, and two grandsons, Patrick and Jonathan, during summers.
As third generation owners, Phillip and Paul partnered to maintain the family business with the level of quality and expertise left them by their father and grandfather.
In 2010, Phillip became the sole owner of Gilmore Electric and worked alongside son, Jonathan to maintain a reputable company name synonymous with quality workmanship.
In August 2014, Patrick Koenning, Jack’s grandson, along with wife Andress and their two children Jack and Lydia moved from Dallas back to B/CS to partner with Phillip to grow
the business.
“Gilmore Electric has always been close to my heart,” said Patrick. “We see this as a God given opportunity to be apart of the business that’s been in my family for nearly 70 years.”
